My clinical & Research work
I am a Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust, UK and Associate Professor at University of Portsmouth.
I provide a very busy paediatric gastrointestinal service in Southampton accepts referrals from 13 regional hospitals from the South of England.
I have established joint clinics to run specialist paediatrics allergy, pancreatic insufficiency, paediatric liver, paediatric surgical and transition clinics (gastroenterology and hepatology) in Southampton.
I lead the paediatric endoscopy services offering a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures to babies and children in Hampshire.

Reviewed and edited the Paediatric GI Guidelines published on Paediatric Care Online, a new online decision support tool for Healthcare professoinals in the UK, by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
My training
I had specialist training in paediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, intestinal allergy and hepatology in Great Ormond Street, Barts and the London, Royal Free and Kings College Hospitals. My doctorate thesis at Queen Mary University of London, was on studying the role of nutrition in paediatric inflammatory bowel diseases.
With an interest in medicines and mechisms of working, I had a distinction in Pharmacology and Therapeutics during my medical school training.
My hobbies
Charity Work. I work with a passionate group of professionals, who wish to make a difference to our planet earth. We are the Inspiral Health team. Inspiral Health is a coalition of the willing being built by global clinicians, educational and industry leaders and experienced disaster responders - all volunteers, bringing together their individual knowledge and determination into a collective effort to help build a better reality for all.
Music. Played in a 'soft rock' band at university, and still occasionally play for charity events. I assesmble my own Fender Custom and Fender (Strat and Tele) Clones.
Photography. I am interested in design, composition and colours. I own Nikon Df with Sony A7c systems with lenses
